The support of our members is the driving force behind the programs and events that have preserved the past, promoted the present, and secured the future of folk music throughout the Greater Philadelphia region for over 50 years! In addition to our concerts, SINGs, workshops, and festivals, PFS also provides education, school programs, artist development and service to our community. Your PFS membership allows you to enjoy tons of benefits while helping PFS to expand our programs and reach our community in ways that may not otherwise be possible. Memberships include: ONE (1) FREE admission to PFS Monthly Member Concerts, House Concerts, Workshops, and SINGs; Member meetings and voting rights in PFS elections and other business, so you can have your say in the future of our organization; access to the monthly newsletter, Tune Up, and the members' area of the PFS website; discounts to the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Spring Thing, Fall Fling, Cabin Fever, Heartwood Music Festival, and concerts; discounts on Philadelphia Folk Festival Volunteer Fees; and other membership events as determined by the Board of Directors and/or the Membership Committee.
$35 Troubadour - Available for NEW members ONLY, our Troubadour membership gives you a taste of PFS! This membership includes personalized invitations to PFS events throughout the year, a welcome packet, and opportunities for involvement and to meet other members. Entitled to ONE (1) vote in PFS elections.
$30 Young Friends - This brand-new membership level is open to folk music fans 35 and UNDER! This memberships includes access to tailored Young Friends events, catered to fit your hectic lifestyle, as well as first round notice of events! Entitled to ONE (1) vote in PFS elections.
$30 Emcee - A reduced membership rate shouldn't mean a reduction of fun! A seasoned folk veteran deserves the best. This membership is open to inviduals 65 and over and includes special programming curated with you in mind, reserved seating (where applicable), and priority access to select events. Entitled to ONE (1) vote in PFS elections.
$50 Solo Act - The spotlight's all on you! Enjoy all the benefits of a membership to yourself, including oppotunities to meet fellow folk music lovers in a large and welcoming community! Entitled to ONE (1) vote in PFS elections.
$80 House Band - Open to TWO (2) adults (spouses, roommates, partners, friends, etc.) living at the same address. This membership provides all of the benefits of a Solo Act membership but it's for two adults. Entitled to TWO (2) votes (one for each registered adult member) in PFS Elections. It also covers children under the age of 18 living in the household - we call them prodigies! Prodigies get their own member cards.
Premium Memberships: A premium membership does more than just give you access to the premier music scene in Philadelphia; it bolsters PFS in its mission to not only preserve the past, but also to promote the present and secure the future of folk music for generations to come. All premium memberships include TWO (2) FREE admissions to House Concerts, Workshops, SINGs, and Member Concerts, a Thursday Night Members Only Party at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, special offers on area events, and first exclusive pre-sale to the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
$200 Supporting Act - This membership includes print and digital recognition in the PFF Program and App, one limited edition and exclusive member embroidered pin, 10% off at the Merchandise Tent at PFF and online at our FolkMart; VIP Reception at the Annual Meeting, special Premium member raffles, and first notice of concerts and cultural events. Entitled to TWO (2) votes (one for each registered adult member) in PFS elections.
$400 Headliner - Provides all of the beneifts of a Supporting Act membership plus ONE (1) FREE admission to one of the following: Philadelphia Folk Festival (All-Festival, non-camping), Spring Thing, Fall Fling, or Cabin Fever. This membership also includes waived ticketing fees, reserved seating at select events, and performer screening privileges for the Philadelphia Folk Festival - hear the bands first and give your valued and trusted opinion! Entitled to TWO (2) votes (one for each registered adult member) in PFS elections.
$750 Master Class - Provides all of the benefits of a Headliner membership with TWO (2) FREE admissions to one of the following: Philadelphia Folk Festival (All-Festival, non-camping), Spring Thing, Fall Fling, or Cabin Fever. Master Class members also get VIP Access to the Philadelphia Folk Festival including free parking, shuttle, and food tent access, two free t-shirts, and one limited edition poster. This membership also includes one inscribed picket with the message of your choosing to be displayed on Festival grounds. Entitled to TWO (2) votes (one for each registered adult member) in PFS elections.
$1500 Folk Legend - Provides all the benefits of a Headliner membership with THREE (3) FREE admissions to one of the following: Philadelphia Folk Festival (All-Festival, non-camping), Spring Thing, Fall Fling, or Cabin Fever. Folk Legends receive stage recognition at the Festival. Folk Legends also have the ability to choose a school to sponsor for the Odyssey Program as well as a Philadelphia Music Co-op artsits to sponsor. Entitled to TWO (2) votes (one for each registered adult member) in PFS elections.
